We offer a broad selection of quilting and rug hooking classes and seminars for beginners and experts. Classes are offered at various times throughout the day and week for your convenience in our large classrooms.
EVENTS
We host numerous clubs including Thimbleberries, Girl Gang and Appliqué Lovers to name a few. Our large classroom is also available for quilting and rug hooking groups free of charge.

Welcome to The Quilted Apple, Arizona’s oldest Quilting and Rug Hooking Store. It has served Arizona’s quilting needs since 1978 when it was founded by Laurene Sinema. Laurene was nationally recognized for her appliqué and Red Work, her books and patterns are still available. Jude Vegso purchased The Quilted Apple from Laurene’s family in 2004, remodeled the store and expanded the fabric selection, books, patterns, notions, supplies, classes, seminars, and clubs. It also carries the largest selection of rug hooking wool and supplies in the southwest.
We are a full service quilting and rug hooking store that strives to provide each customer with the service, support and supplies they need to create a perfect expression of their talent. We carry an ever expanding variety of fabrics, patterns, books, magazines, notions, frames and supplies for quilting, rug hooking and other related crafts. We are also one of the only quilt stores in Arizona to offer custom quilting and repairs of new and older quilts.
